Luggage can set the pace of a Korea trip on check-out day, before check-in or between cities. Compare a station locker, hotel storage and a delivery service by the size of your bag, where you will collect it and how much time you have—not just by the first price you see.
Decide where and when you will collect it
Start with the last place you need the bag and the time you must have it back. A locker works differently if you return to the same station, while a delivery service may suit a move to the airport or next hotel. Ask your accommodation about pre-check-in and post-check-out storage hours before building the day around it.
Check locker size, location and opening conditions
A subway or railway station may have lockers on a particular level or near one exit. Check the operator’s current information for location, availability, size and payment conditions. A large suitcase may not fit, and the locker area’s hours may not match the last train, so include wheels and handles when estimating the real size.
Save the code, locker number and storage limit
After storing a bag, record the locker number, access code and receipt or payment screen without sharing the code. Extra charges or a separate procedure may apply after the stated period. On a low-battery day, write the details down as well as saving a photo, and note a nearby landmark so you can find the area again.
Keep travel-critical items with you
Keep your passport, wallet, medicines, laptop, camera and power bank in your day bag. Check restrictions for food, liquids, valuables and fragile items before using a locker or delivery service. Photograph the bag and its condition before handing it over, especially when a third party will carry it.
Confirm hotel storage and delivery collection rules
Hotels and guesthouses may store bags before check-in or after check-out, but the hours, fees and conditions differ. Confirm the reservation name, dates, storage location and collection process. Delivery services can have cut-off times, estimated arrival windows, prohibited items and ID requirements, so use the operator’s latest instructions.
Leave a buffer before a train or flight
When you need to return to a station, find the locker, wait for a lift or resolve a payment issue, add that time before your departure. Keep your ticket and transport card separate so you can leave quickly. A plan that depends on finding a new empty locker at the last minute is fragile.
