Your accommodation frames the first and last day of a trip. Separate arrival, luggage and departure tasks in advance so neither day has to feel rushed.
Keep booking details in one place
Save the property name, address, dates, guest name and confirmation number on your phone. Keep a map link and contact method too, especially for a late arrival or self check-in.
If you arrive before check-in
A room may not be ready early. Tell the front desk you have arrived, then confirm whether luggage storage is available, its cost and collection time. Keep passports, payment cards, chargers and valuables with you.
Check the essentials after entering the room
Key-card use, Wi-Fi, climate controls, towels and waste arrangements differ by property. Ask promptly about missing items and confirm any possible extra charges such as breakfast, minibar, laundry or late checkout.
Recalculate the airport trip the day before
Plan from the hotel to the station, stop or airport—not only from the flight time. For an early departure, recheck first services, taxi arrangements and the operator’s current airport guidance.
Do one final room and payment check
Look through outlets, bathroom shelves and around the bed before leaving. Keep any receipt for extras, and confirm whether you can collect stored luggage later that day.
