Using a hair salon in Korea

Booking, consultation, time and payment for travelers.

A salon visit can be a pleasant part of a trip. Preparing the service, time, reference photos and possible extras makes a cross-language consultation much easier.

Decide the service and time first

Cuts, colour, perms and scalp care differ greatly in time and price. Choose a slot without a train, flight or fixed plan afterwards, and check the salon’s current booking method.

Use photos to explain the style

Bring examples of the result you want and styles you do not want. Mention your current hair condition, recent treatments and any allergy or scalp sensitivity. A reference photo guides a consultation; it cannot guarantee an identical result.

Confirm price and add-ons before starting

Shampoo, blow-dry, length charges, treatment and styling may be listed separately. Ask for the estimated time and total price, and ask to be told before any optional extra is added.

Follow the salon’s payment and change policy

Card, cash and mobile-payment options, as well as cancellation rules, differ. Tell the salon early if your itinerary changes and keep your booking details and receipt.

Leave room in the itinerary

A service can run longer than expected. A day with some flexibility is more comfortable than the day before a flight or an important event.
